M18 Review Meeting in Karlsruhe

The TOXBOX consortium has successfully concluded the first project period with a productive and insightful M18 Review Meeting, held on 4-5 September 2025 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), which celebrates its 200-year anniversary this year. KIT also houses the European Zebrafish Resource Center, a Screening Center, and Europe’s largest zebrafish facility, making it a major hub for zebrafish research in Europe.

Over two days, representatives from all project partners gathered on site and online to exchange updates, align on objectives, and prepare for the next phase of the project.

Day one featured a general consortium meeting, where partners presented progress, discussed ongoing work, and outlined upcoming milestones. Following a warm welcome from the hosting partner KIT and the project coordination team, participants engaged in interactive workshop sessions to define the next steps for the months ahead. In the afternoon, KIT colleagues guided the consortium on an engaging lab tour, showcasing their zebrafish-based research and facilities.

Day two was then dedicated to the official review with the Project Officer and Technical Reviewer from the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) of the European Commission. Both expressed their satisfaction with the consortium’s achievements to date and provided constructive recommendations for the future. Their positive assessment reaffirmed the quality of the results delivered and the strong spirit of collaboration within the consortium.

The consortium warmly thanks the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology for their excellent organisation and hospitality!
